Conventional Plastic Bags takes more than 1000 years to disintegrate whereas Compostable Bags take 3 – 6 months to disintegrate in a composting facility. The compost formed increases the fertility of the soil. Thus, Compostable bags are out of the Environment.

2. Saves Non-renewable Sources of Energy

Compostable Bags are made from Corn Starch and Plastic Bags are made by heating and treating oil molecules until they turn into polymers. This makes compostable bags conserve non-renewable sources of energy such as petroleum.

Compostable bags after disintegration yield CO2, Water & Biomass which acts as a compost for the plants & increases the fertility of soil. It leaves no Toxic residues. Plastic bags on incineration emits extremely toxic gases and pollutes the environment in every possible way.
